Block Aarambha
Follow the steps below to get started with your WordPress Theme:
- Now log in to the WordPress admin dashboard.
- Go to Appearance> Themes > Add New > Upload theme.
- Upload block-aarambha.zip and Activate themes.
- After theme activation, you will get a notification to install and activate the required plugins.
- Click on Begin installing plugins.
- Install and Activate plugins.
After activating the required themes and plugins, visit Dashboard > Appearance, there you can see the Editor option below the Themes. Click on the Appearance > Editor, to customize specific sections of your website.
Once you go to the Editor, on the top left side of your screen, you can see the space for the logo. Click on the upload icon to select the logo or to upload it to the media library.
You can also customize the logo size that fits your site.
On the top right side, you can add the block to add and display menu items. We also provide the feature to add a menu from Primary Menu or any other menu locations like previously.
To delete any menu items from the block, you can click on Remove <Menu_Name>.
There are 2 ways to add patterns from the Editor.
- Click on the add block icon anywhere you want to add a new pattern, and lists of all built-in patterns will display. You can choose anyone you like.
- You can also search and add patterns from the top left, where you used to add blocks on Gutenberg Block Editor.
Even though it’s an FSE theme with patterns, we have added previous customization options for some basic features. So that it will be easier for the users who are used to working with the previous customizer.
From the Customizer > Site Identity, you can add the text that you want to display as the site identity if you don’t want to add a logo.
Also, the customizer allows you to add the site icon.
You’ll create a menu, assign it a location, and add menu items like links to pages and categories. If your theme has multiple menu areas, you might need to create more than one.
Your theme can display menus from one location. Select which menu you would like to use.
You can choose what’s displayed on the homepage of your site. It can be posted in reverse chronological order (classic blog), or on a fixed/static page. To set a static homepage, you first need to create two Pages. One will become the homepage, and the other will be where your posts are displayed.
Click the “A Static Page” radio button, to select any static page from the dropdown.
